At Trustology, we’re building a platform for securing digital assets. Together we share a passion for innovation, engineering and security, combined with a belief that we are changing how the world thinks about digital asset custody.

Combining expertise in cyber and physical security, blockchain, custody and smart contracts, our mission is to provide institutional and individual clients the world’s most secure and customisable digital asset custody solutions.

We are looking for software engineers who are excited about what we do at Trustology. Our team believes in delivering high quality products to our clients. This requires each engineer to be able to communicate effectively by sharing ideas, solutions and technical concepts with the entire team. We are passionate about creating high quality solutions and our engineers are core to realising this vision.

Our teams are involved in all phases of the software lifecycle, from designing architectural solutions, to execution and delivery. We’re looking for engineers who are comfortable with complex systems, combined with a genuine thirst for knowledge.

We work with a wide range of technologies on a daily basis, including TypeScript, Node.js, Terraform, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, GraphQL - AppSync), Docker and our engineers are exposed to all of these.

Location
We believe that we are at our best when we are together in the office (Central London - Blackfriars) to collaborate in person, but remote working is possible when required.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will be responsible for:
  • Crafting thoughtful, elegant software that is highly maintainable
  • Collaborating with colleagues through pair programming or in a design capacity
  • Communicating effectively within a highly productive and creative team
  • Delivering new and exciting features to our users while maintaining security as a priority
  • Identifying potential optimisations in existing systems for improving scalability and performance
Skills and Competencies
Minimum requirements:
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and use it as fuel for self-improvement
  • A demonstrable interest in blockchain

The following skills are useful, but not required and where you don’t have experience you will be able to learn:
  • Our core technologies as described above (TypeScript, Node.js, Terraform, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, GraphQL - AppSync), Docker)
  • Experience with continuous integration - Git or similar source control and issue tracking.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software testing and its importance in our goal of producing quality software
  • An appreciation of the entire software stack (including but not limited to front-end, microservices, databases, network layers, etc.) and how design choices can influence an applications performance
  • An interest in cryptographic systems – Hash functions, Message authentication and Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption
