An opportunity has arisen to join the leading Ethereum blockchain technology company in the world to help us recruit the teams who are shaping the future of decentralised working!

ConsenSys is the largest blockchain venture production studio focused on building and scaling tools and enterprise software products powered by Ethereum. Our mission is to use these solutions to power the emerging economic, social, and political operating systems of the planet.

Our teams are busy building the future of identity, financial markets, commerce, the music industry, security and infrastructure, and more.

It's not just the tech that is groundbreaking - we're also creating new ways of working and an organisational model that has never been implemented on this scale anywhere in the world before!

We’ve built out a flat organisational structure which we call the ConsenSys Mesh; a holacratic network of individuals & teams working autonomously and towards the same goal. The MeshOps team is responsible for designing and implementing “Meshocracy”, our own operational & company structure loosely based on the principles of holacracy.

This means that there are no 'line managers' and everyone is responsible for holding themselves accountable for delivering against the projects they're working on. It's a hugely empowering approach, but only if you're comfortable with high levels of ambiguity and constant change.

We have highly ambitious growth plans! We grew from 100 to over 700 people globally in the last 18 months, and we're picking up speed!

You will play a vital role in growing the European teams as we embark the next part of our exciting journey.

If you're not scared of a challenge, and you're willing to get stuck in, this will be an extremely rewarding opportunity.

Our UK HQ is next to Old Street roundabout, and it would be beneficial for you to be able to spend at least a couple of days a week there. However, as a remote-first company we provide the necessary tools for you to work from home as required. Some travel is also likely to be required from time to time, including visits to other European/global offices, events and summits.
  • Coordinating meetings and interviews through our recruitment system (Greenhouse) and Google Calendar, ensuring that invitations, supporting documentation and required resources are sent out.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Meeting and greeting candidates who come in for onsite interviews
  • Delivering a fantastic recruitment experience for all candidates
  • Coordinating candidate travel when necessary and process related expenses
  • Helping to screen candidates as required
  • Helping to process offers and assist with onboarding new joiners
  • Carrying out reference / background checks
  • Supporting the European teams with recruitment projects as required, such as preparing candidate packs and associated materials for recruitment events
  • Creating and posting jobs on internal and external job boards
  • Updating and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse)
  • Running standard reports from the recruitment system to ensure an effective flow of management information to internal stakeholders
  • Arranging meetings/calls between the recruitment team and internal and external stakeholders
  • Exercising judgement and escalating queries where appropriate
  • Acting as an efficient ambassador for the Recruitment team at all times
  • Pro-actively contributing to initiatives and/or projects across the European teams as required
Essential skills
  • You enjoy working in an ever changing landscape, with a large degree of ambiguity
  • You're a natural people-person, and you're great at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You're a self-starter who is comfortable getting on with tasks autonomously
  • You possess outstanding organisational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • You have experience of regularly arranging an average of at least 10-20 interviews per week
  • You have experience of comfortably tracking at least 40 concurrent interviews at any one time
  • You are resilient and flexible, with a positive outlook (we're a cheerful bunch here!)
  • You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with an eye for detail
  • You exercise a high level of professional judgement and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • You're already comfortable using Word, Excel, calendar and email systems (experience using Google Calendar / G-Suite would be advantageous)
Bonus points (not essential)
  • Previous use of recruitment systems would be advantageous, but isn't essential as we can help get you up to speed (if you've worked with Greenhouse before, that's even better!)
  • Experience of working within agreed HR policies and processes

Here are some of the perks of being part of the totally unique organisation that is ConsenSys:
  • The forefront of a revolution. At ConsenSys we fundamentally believe that a next generation of technologies presents the opportunity to create a more just and equitable society.
  • A dynamic startup environment. ConsenSys is a thought leader in the blockchain space and we are absorbing a significant portion of the mindshare. This is both exciting and challenging, as we learn to scale our organization while adhering to the principles of decentralization.
  • Continuous learning. You’ll be constantly exposed to new languages, frameworks and ideas from your peers and as you work on different projects -- challenging you to stay at the top of your game.
  • Deep technical challenges. This entire ecosystem is about 10 years old. Ethereum itself is still a toddler. There is much work to be done before these platforms can scale to the order of millions or billions of users. ConsenSys is building the technology platforms that can get us to those next thresholds of scale.
