We’ve built out a flat organisational structure which we call the ConsenSys Mesh; a holacratic network of individuals & teams working autonomously and towards the same goal. The MeshOps team is responsible for designing and implementing “Meshocracy”, our own operational & company structure loosely based on the principles of holacracy.

This means that there are no 'line managers' and everyone is responsible for holding themselves accountable for delivering against the projects they're working on. It's a hugely empowering approach, but only if you're comfortable with high levels of ambiguity and constant change.

We have highly ambitious growth plans! We grew from 100 to over 700 people globally in the last 18 months, and we're picking up speed!

The Role:

ConsenSys is seeking a well rounded recruiter to work autonomously and help create and deliver best in class recruiting processes and candidate experience.

In this exciting role you will build and maintain proactive partnerships with key stakeholders in order to understand the different team structures, key initiatives and projects, evaluate talent needs, and contribute ideas, solutions and tools.

As part of the global People & Talent team you will work alongside and have support from the European recruitment team, as well as being a key voice as we develop global recruitment policies and processes. ConsenSys is a company in which if you have ideas for improvements, they will be heard!

Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the blockchain space, you will need to be adaptable and willing to work on a variety of non-technical openings. One of the core areas of focus will be around building our Strategic Advisory and Ideation capability within our ConsenSys Solutions circle. Therefore, it would be beneficial if you have experience recruiting for Strategic Advisory and/or Big 4 consultancies.

Our UK HQ is next to Old Street roundabout, and it would be beneficial for you to be able to spend at least a couple of days a week there. However, as a remote-first company we provide the necessary tools for you to work from home as required. Some travel is also likely to be required from time to time, including visits to other European/global offices, events and summits.

  • Partner closely with hiring leads, owning all aspects of the recruiting process: defining jobs and specs, building interviewer pools and scorecards, application management, active sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, tracking and admin activities, negotiating and closing
  • Represent ConsenSys at industry and networking events and meetups
  • Develop a pipeline of active and passive candidates
  • Become quickly immersed into the culture and business needs of ConsenSys
  • Own special projects as they arise, offering unique opportunities for leadership development and growth, such as campus recruiting, assessment of new recruiting services / technologies, creating and implementing development and rotational programs, cross functional projects, etc.
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness, understanding the startup, tech, and Ethereum/Blockchain landscape to keep tabs on emerging and transitioning businesses, industry news, competitive analysis, etc.

About you:
  • 5+ years of full cycle 360 recruiting experience and a track record of hiring elite talent
  • At least 1 year of in-house recruitment experience
  • Startup or entrepreneurial company experience preferred
  • In addition to the above, experience recruiting for Strategic Advisory and/or Big 4 consultancies would be highly beneficial
  • Demonstrated success implementing innovative ways to attract and retain passive candidates
  • Strong direct sourcing skills (we'll ask about how you use boolean, x-ray, find email addresses & contact details, etc.)
  • Self-confident, self-motivated and highly-organised with a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency using ATS systems and sourcing tools (we use Greenhouse, but it's not a showstopper if you haven't)
  • Kind, humble, and thoughtful
  • Ability to focus on the details, but also understand the bigger picture
  • Interest in new technology, Blockchain, and/or Ethereum (it really helps if you already have a passion for this space)
  • An awareness or appreciation for wider social and environmental issues and how technology is being used to address them
