About you:

Realizing a decentralized future depends on the mass adoption and use of applications built on Ethereum, so finding the right designers for these teams is critical. You’re passionate about design and helping high caliber designers step into the sometimes intimidating world of blockchain. You know the differences between product designers, brand designers, design thinking facilitators, and design researchers—and what matters to them. You care deeply about about diversity and have strategies for developing diverse teams.

You also value experimentation and process iteration—constantly testing and revising how we find and attract designers. You are creative in your approach with a near and long-term recruiting vision. You will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large.

What you’ll do:
  • Partner. Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing strategies and execution. Have regular conversations with design colleagues about the direction of hiring, budgeting, and changing roles within design.
  • Source. Create and foster relationships with colleagues and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit candidates. Leverage recruiting resources including online, networking, and cold calling of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Implement high-volume sourcing strategies to identify and recruit, including but not limited to database mining, Internet searches, direct sourcing, grassroots in-field networking, campus recruiting, referral programs, and involvement with community organizations/networks
  • Grow. Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management. Develop low pressure, long-term relationships with designers and build a pipeline
  • Process. Constantly improve and iterate on design recruiting and hiring process, creating feedback loops on recent hires for data used to improve. Test and research the target candidate pools through surveys and conversations
  • Brand. You’re likely the first person the candidate will meet and you drive their experience here—we want it to be positive regardless of whether or not we hire them. Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position. Partner with Marketing to further build brand awareness of opportunities
  • Assess. Deeply understand what it means to design for blockchain and what qualities ensure success. Review portfolios and resumes to prescreens candidates. Create and present prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval. Performs detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring managers
  • Organize. Manage and coordinate scheduling, logistics, and all communication with design candidates. Organize, lead, and document post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates. Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager’s interactions, and other recruiting activities in compliance with company

What we ask for:
  • 5+ years recruiting/sourcing experience, with at least 3 years of experience supporting creative teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • KPI and data driven
  • Knowledge of recruitment marketing and engagement/communications strategies to attract, captivate, and retain active and passive candidates
  • Create and maintain strategic recruiting plans with clearly defined objectives, desired outcomes, and a calendar of events
